1-5 Purdue dominates Ohio State today

Go figure. Has the Big 10 ever been weaker?

Iowa is going to win this conference and they were outplayed by UNI and Arkansas St (who lost to UL-Monroe last week).

You have to hand it to the Hawks, they're taking advantage of possibly the worst BCS conference in the country. Good teams do that.

We did lose to Iowa, and not a good game either.

Iowa just finds ways to win..I have to respect that.

Honestly, I don't think the Big 12 is really a world beater either. The non-conference record wasn't anything to brag about and OU-UT wasn't much of a showcase game today.

They do keep winning, and since they kicked our butt, I don't think we should spend so much time trashing them. Does it mean I will root for them? No, but is sounds like sour grapes when everyone keeps trashing Iowa when they keep winning and beat us...handily. I don't know that this totally applies to this thread, but there is way too much Iowa trashing considering how bad we got beat.

If Iowa wants to hang their hats on that... good for them.

We are not a very good football team, plus we turned the ball over to Iowa 6 times that day. So Iowa beat an average team that turned it over 6 times.... congrats.

As I said, Iowa is doing what they have to do to win... and what matters more than that? Nothing. As I said, they are taking advantage of a very weak conference. Why shouldn't they?

I won money on Iowa today. Doesn't make me feel much better but I'm going to keep riding them if they are dogs.

I wouldn't say that they were dominated today...upset yes...dominated no. We aren't talking about the 44-23 pasting that Arkansas put on ranked Auburn.

I'm hoping and praying for an Iowa-Auburn bowl matchup. It might be the only time I'd be rooting big time for Iowa.

Scares me as much as it does to say this, I'd have to agree that I'd root for Iowa.

I had hoped that this was going to be an actual thread talking about the THUMP that Ohio State made as they fell on their faces.
I watched most of the second half and they looked awful. Prior couldn't hit an open receiver if the game depended on it.......and since the game did depend on it, they lost.

WOW! The big 10 is awesome. Iowa has a good team, but not BCS Championship good. They will not lose more than 1 game. Hopefully OSU beats them in the shoe because they would be embarrassed by Florida, Alabama, USC...

Some of you are giving Florida, Alabama, and USC wayyyyy too much credit. Florida just struggled to barely beat Arkansas and had the refs on their side the whole way. Alabama is struggling to beat South Carolina at home, practically the same SC that Iowa smacked down last year. USC barely beat OSU and lost to Washington. They are all VERY beatable.

If Iowa wanted to hang their hats on beating Iowa State, they probably would have lost every game since that day. But seeing as how Iowa has gone into Happy Valley....and dominated, and Madison....and dominated, since then, your claim rings pretty hollow. Iowa hasn't given up a single point in the second half on the road this year, and has turned every QB they've played into a slithering pile of goo. Tolzein met the same fate as Arnaud and Clark did.

However, it is helpful to see what the talking points will be if Iowa wins the Big 10. Thanks in advance.
