    Wildcat formation

Sickens me this is the name for that look, gotta come up with a name for it for us to use.

Anyway, it was effective against KU - will be interested to see if it's used more this weekend, especially if ARob is healthy, as rumors have eluded to.

I can't recall who else we had in the backfield with him against KU. Was it AA? If so, I'm totally fine with that - AA is a decent sized body that runs well. If Beau is as quick and performing well in practice as Rhoads has noted, I wouldn't mind seeing him back there with ARob for a couple snaps too.

AA was lined up out wide and came in on motion, but I also can't recall who else was in the backfield

    Re: Wildcat formation

I'm thinking we should start referring to it as the Cyclone Formation. I know a lot of teams are doing that now. Auburn has the Wild Tiger Formation and a few others that I don't remember, but we could just refer to it as the Cyclone Formation.

I like the look too and am excited to see how we use it the rest of the way. Would be nice to have a Ricky Williams to ARob's Ronnie Brown though. Also, if Renyolds wasn't hurt we could have some very interesting plays we could run out of it.

    Re: Wildcat formation

Yeah, Arnaud came in motion & crossed in front of A-Rob after the ball was snapped. There wasn't much of a fake on the handoff on the two times we ran the play, but I can see Herman having A-Rob hand off to Arnaud at some point this season as a counter depending on what the defense is doing.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Ha, or just call it Cat 5, and whenever we score a touchdown off of it we name the play after a boy or girl alphabetically

Well the Broncos just show cased their version, Wild Horses, this past weekend and they motion the QB back under center to take the snap.

The coach who started designing these plays named it after the mascot of the high school he was coaching at.
