    Paranormal Activity

Has anyone seen this movie yet? I'm really looking forward to it. I enjoyed "Blair Witch Project" and think this might be fairly similar. It's rare that both critics and the public rate a horror film with rave reviews like this one is getting.

    Re: Paranormal Activity

Will it be playing in Des Moines? They were only doing limited releases at this point. This movie sounds awesome! I read that Spielberg watched it in his bedroom and when he was done his doors locked and he couldn't get out and he had to call a locksmith - the next day he brought the dvd back in a garbage bag and said he would never keep it in his house!!!

From what I have read, they are now going to give this a full release due to the good reviews and the fact that it has sold so well in it's limited release. It's either a fine job of advertising or a good scary movie which is oh so rare.
I for one loved The Blair Witch Project.

Edit: I see they are having midnight showings at Rave and AMC in Omaha tonight. I imagine that they will have regular showings starting tomorrow. Who knows, maybe I'll catch a nap after work tonight and go check out the midnight show. Then take another nap and go to work in the morning. Of course if it is good and scary, maybe I'll just curl up in the fetal position and pray for daylight.

Most disappointing movie I've seen in a long, long time. For as short as the movie is in time it felt like it took forever to get to the "good stuff".

It might be a movie that you have to see with a packed movie theater. I got off work a little early so my wife and I went to go see it. We were there early, expecting quite a few people there. We were two of probably a dozen or so. There was no "buzz" in the theater at all. It started slow, had a slow middle, and ended.

I hate to say don't waste your money, many people said that to me about "Blair With Project" and I loved it. This sucked.

I'll never understand why people love the first Boondocks so much. It wasn't bad, but just don't get why people love it so much. To each his own though.

I enjoyed the whole vigilante type of thing and it had a nice little twist at the end. Not one of my favorites, but I'm really looking forward to the sequal.

    Re: Paranormal Activity

I enjoyed the movie, but it was not nearly as hardcore as made out to be. I liked it a lot more than the Blair Witch Project; thought that movie was garbage. Glad we went to the 5:55 showing so it wasn't $9.50.
