    Jarvis West

Rivals has him visiting Ames this weekend, he's only 5-7, but he's got wheels!

ESPN has a good write up and video on him, JJ Moses anyone?

Wow, I can imagine West in the slot on those WR screens. We sustain the block and BOOM he's gone.

    Re: Jarvis West

GET HIM!!!! he def has some speed

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I'm a little surprised Nebraska is looking at him.

    Re: Jarvis West

We definitely could use him. Gotta love the speedsters!! He would fit perfectly in the slot, on the bubble screens, kick returns, punt returns, etc.

    Re: Jarvis West

This is what we lost when Breshears went to KU IMO. We need speedy WR's.

I will bet a decent amount of money that Chris Young starts at WR for us next year

I would hope so as a 4-star juco, and hopefully Reynolds does in fact get that medical hardship so they can be flying around out there together. I hope Sed can replace Marquis next year too.

Also on West, scout has him as a 4.3 forty.

    Re: Jarvis West

I try not to be critical of grammar on message boards. But, I find it a little sad in an ESPN write up, which should be a completely different scenario than a message board, to see this....

"As a return specialist, he can scoot upfield past defenders like THEIR standing still (emphasis added)."

Really? Don't they pay people to do this work?

On another note, I'd love to get this kid. The more speed the better and having a good special teams return man like JJ Moses was, would be awesome!

He looks awesome in that ESPN highlight vid. He just blows by the defenders and it doesn't look like anyone closed on him downfield. He could be dangerous.
It also looked like the defenders couldn't see him until he was already past them on his returns. He is a BURNER!

They also have him 5'6" 140. And with offers from FSU and WVU. I'd be surprised if we get this guy.

They also have us as not offering him yet which I would doubt if he is visiting. It seems to me we are an offer first type of strategy.
