    Anyone Watching the UFL Now?

Ok, probably not. Is the UFL the real reason DirecTV dropped Versus? Would DirecTV have gotten a phone call from the NFL that went something like "Um, Do you still want NFL Ticket or not?"

Re: Anyone Watching the UFL Now?

Not sure why the NFL would care if the UFL games aren't in direct competition with them.

I'm betting that Versus thought they could jack rates up for DirecTV now that they have some level of pro football on.

Not sure who to side with here, but I chuckle anyway because of all the DirecTV ***swingers who won't be able to watch the game at home this weekend.

Don't worry, Uffal games will be on HDNET, channel 79. Set your tivo's now.

The directv/comcast feud is why VS isn't on, but NHL Center Ice is free right now, If I cared I would find out which channels its on.

Perhaps their league would be taken more seriosly if they didn't look like Easter candy running around on the field. Whoever designed those and thought it was a good idea needs to be shot.

Re: Anyone Watching the UFL Now?

I think this is more of an issue with Comcast being sick of DirecTV grabbing up as many exclusive deals as they can and fought back with a channel that they own. It'll be interesting what happens with Comcast buying NBC and whether those channels will have the same negotiating issues. I wouldn't be surprised if this happens more and more until the congress steps in and bans exclusive deals.

Either way, Dish network has got to be loving this.
