    Hey Perrault

Since you seem to know so much about what is going on with ISU recruiting, why don't you tell us what you mean by "trying to fit square pegs into round holes" instead of just throwing **** out there because you can't think of anything better to say.

Thank god nobody can hear 1460 outside of central Iowa or they'd know how much of an embarrassment local sports radio is. And also, how the hell does Cory Coon have a job? He can't go one segment without butchering the news. Maybe your bosses ought to spring for some speech lessons.

    Re: Hey Perrault

I don't have a problem with either guy.

To me the biggest mistake the station made was putting the Royals on. They could be airing the Twins right now in a 1 game playoff or they could have had the division winning cardinals. At least they got the Vikes.

Agree, Twins would have been the best get. They are always a decent team, have awesome alumni that stay around the midwest that you could get for guests, and there are alot more Twins fans around here than Royals.

I think he was referring to current players into the new system.

    Re: Hey Perrault

Miller is fantastic, but it's like he has one arm tied behind his back due to his partner.

Matt is sometimes ok, but his nervous/filler laugh during interviews is something an amateur would do.

Whoever Marty has as a "partner" makes me want to throw my radio on the ground and urinate on it, despite the risk of electrocution.

    Re: Hey Perrault

Um....so your problem is that I asked Chris a question about recruiting or that the recruiting question wasn't specific enough?

It's year 1 of the program under CR...these are not his players. They don't have the QB or WR for the system they are running. They don't have playmakers on the edge (except for ARob) and they don't have a QB who is a good fit for this system other than running with the ball.

I was vague because I wanted to makes sure Chris could answer the question cause he is new to the beat. He said as much in his answer that he hasn't been fully up to speed yet...but IMO - recruiting is key for this coaching staff cause they need to get their type of players on offense in the coming classes...

I have all the respect in the world in AA - 3 diff systems in 3 years...but he doesn't fit what Tom Herman wants in a QB after a spring/fall and 5 games....go listen to our interview with him on podcast - you tell me if AA fits it so far...most important thing for a QB is to be on time with the ball and make the right read. AA is really struggling with that and his receivers aren't helping...

They need their kind of players...thus the recruiting ? to Chris. There was a purpose the question...it wasn't me "throwing" something out there

    I agree with this.

BTW, I think it shows some pretty decent stones to come on here with dipshts like me always ripping you.

Rest assured, I'll never come in low on you, so you won't have to beg for the flag.

    Re: Hey Perrault

Why do some feel the need to rip people when they are talking ISU and stating their opinion? Its not like Matt is rip on the people and the school, like others do.

As for Cory, why rip him? Its a PT job that probaly doesnt pay much. He is not the reason you listen to the show.
