    Punk isn't dead, it evolved. Most of the music I listen to I call punk simply because it wouldn't be around if it weren't for the "classic" punk bands, not because it sounds like The Ramones.

    I hate to say this because I love everything about this genre but punk was mainstream in the 80's too, the Ramones had videos on MTV. Even though it is too mainstream now, u just have to search hard for the good punk out there, to me to find good ones now u have to find a good label ex. Fat wreck(Lawrence Arms, Dillinger Four, Dead to Me, American Steel)

    I'd say Dropkick Murphys is Irish Punk and they pretty much rule! Follow that up with NOFX and then you have Millencolin, The Vandals, Rancid, Lagwagon...
