    Jake Williams

We have found ourselves a receiver. That was a hell of a catch and it is good to see that he brings it every game. If Darks and Johnson are going to be nonexistant, we have to have someone step up. Jake has been that guy so far this year.

    Re: Jake Williams

With darks and Johnson dropping passes I can see why Arnaud is going to Hamilton and Willams. On the last drive alone they both made excellent catches.

He's a walk on isn't he? He's had several great catches in the last few games.

    Re: Jake Williams

He has shown to be worthy of being a go to guy. I stated in another post that he is rising to the top. My guess is he is getting the system ahead of Darks and Sed

Nice. He is going to become a fan favorite if he keeps this up. Even if he is from Iowa.

Didn't you hear that Mac's recruits and Iowa players are not as good as the out-of-state guys that Chizik brought in?

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

Coach R: Keep your eyes on the ball, son.
Coach Herman: I'd rather he kept his hands on the ball.

i love Darks and Johnson, but today reminded me of Necessary Roughness and the quote above with Featherstone. by the way, I think Jake Williams is awesome! I am glad we have him.

maybe he gets to be another wes welker. Dont want to put undo pressure on him but a third down receiver would be great/

    Re: Jake Williams

if we can get the other guys to step up on the sidelines and down the field, i could see jake as a welker type posession wr. problem is he is our best down the field, sideline, over the middle wr, except for hamilton.

    Re: Jake Williams

I'm very shocked, with the tangible abilities that Darks and S. Johnson have, that they are not performing better. Of course, Hamilton and Williams are doing very well, and are somewhat picking up the slack.

Now if we can get Arnaud to play well..........
