If you want to see something nasty and very painful, click the ESPN link below and watch the video....it happens early in the clip on the fast break toward the left basket.

    Re: NBA player dislocates kneecap...

Anyone see the player from Wisconsin dislocate his elbow in the OSU game this weekend? Came down and it bent 90 degrees the wrong way, was pretty gross and they were even showing them trying to pop it back in place before they had to take him to the locker room.

I saw that, too. I'm not sure who's was worse-looking in real-time, Livingston's or Brian Butch's the other day.

Yup, saw it as well - was watching the game when it happened.

I don't know which was more painful to watch. I do know, Butch not only dislocated it - he fractured something as well.

Any dislocation looks terrible. It is just weird seeing things at those angles.

    Re: NBA player dislocates kneecap...

Ya, he fell and there was that split second where you could see he hadn't really figured out what happened yet. Then he (and the viewing public) saw that his elbow was unpleasantly askew. Nasty.

Brian Butch is out 4-6 weeks at least, so he might be done for the season.

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

How does his knee turn like that and not tear his acl or mcl? I have seen may a football plays where the guy didnt even look like he did anything but his acl was torn.

    Re: NBA player dislocates kneecap...

ya much worse then what they thought at first..

Livingston had an MRI exam which revealed tears in the anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament and lateral meniscus.

He also dislocated his patella, in addition to the previously diagnosed dislocation of his tibia-femoral

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Holy crap. That dude just blew out almost everything you possibly could in a knee. OUCH.

And I thought my little ACL/MCL was bad. Sheesh.
