30,000 Season Tickets Sold in the 1st Quarter?

    I think it's possible.

This morning sales were listed at 22,363.

Right now they're listed at 24,098. If I see that number climb again by the end of the day, which I expect it to - it could be close to 25,000.

We all know tomorrow is the magical day to have your orders placed. I'm not sure if it's received by the 28th or postmarked. If postmarked, we'll likely see big jumps through this week and possibly into next week.

Lets say we're at 26,000-27,000 by the end of next week. I do fully expect sales to slow down quite a bit once the deadline is eclipsed. However, it's entirely possible we could be at or very close to 30,000 season tickets sold by the end of the quarter.

That's pretty darn good with the hype of spring practices, the spring game and fall reports yet to come. I only wish we knew what % of the current sales were new vs. renewals. Still waiting to hear back from ISU on whether the estimated student sales are included in that number as well.

I like what I see so far!

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

To get your best possible seating, orders have to be in by Wednesday night.

Otherwise, you can still buy season tickets after the first game of the year...who knows what kind of seats you would get though.

I have only seen the number updated once everyday. Usually it does happen around 11 am. I am very impressed at how high the total is already.

That 24,000 is not including student tickets yet either. So basically we are kicking A!

You can place your orders online too. I've never mailed mine in, always done it online.

Thanks for the info isumellie. I was hoping we'd see the number take another jump later today. If it's only updated once a day, it may be tough to reach my estimated 26-27k by the end of next week.

Actually, it may include a standard estimated amount for students. From what I understand, the numbers included such a number last year. I'm waiting for a response to an e-mail I sent to find out of the current number has est. student sales factored in or not. I am assuming not, yet don't know for sure.

Are you sure? Some have thought that those are included like they did last year on the totals listed on cyclones.com. If you do know that it does not include the student section than that is really great news!

Re: 30,000 Season Tickets Sold in the 1st Quarter?

I called the ticket office last week. Student tickets were supposed to come available February 20, but then when I called, they said it needed to be pushed back into March for some reason. So the number may include an estimate, but no actual sales.

Look at the headlines on CR and you will see the answer they got from the ticket office about student tickets.

Students can't buy tickets yet, so I don't know how they'd be figuring those in if they are part of that total.

Yea that is true but last year the total that was posted on cyclones.com included the entire amount of student tickets before they all were sold, if they were all sold at all.
