    Oregon's Blount to be reinstated?

Sorry if discussed. There's a blog about it off MSNBC.

It might be because he is leaving the program all together. Or maybe I'm just dumb, which there is a good possibility about that.

Re: Oregon's Blount to be reinstated?

I like that they said out, period at first. If you can get some of the people who he apparently has on his side convinced, it may be reasonable. The thing about having told him it was permanent is that he had no real reason to behave (nothing to shoot for). So, presumably his work is out of an honest desire to become a better person. All in all if he is serious, letting him back may increase the longer term chances of that. The coach will have to tred lightly though and be very thourough to avoid the appearance of, "of, he's been a good boy, and we look like we might be good this year and can use him."

Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.

If he played for Iowa his suspension would have been over 3 games ago.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I thought a whole season was too big, but in the mean time I'd make sure he touched every stadium stair.

Technically - it was the remainder of the season.

I don't know if I think it's too much. He sucker punched an opposing (jerk) player, he took a shot at one of his own teammates, then proceeded to go after some fans. And God knows what happened in between and in the lockerroom after.

Granted - it was once incident. But boy, what an incident. And I thought he had been suspended earlier in spring or fall camp for other behavioral issues (??). So it may not be a first strike.

Re: Oregon's Blount to be reinstated?

Pretty mixed reaction to this so far here in Oregon. He is not re-instated yet by any means, and it sounds like there are still some hoops he has to jump through to get re-instated, but the door is open for him now. Not really too sure what to make of this.

If any of you are interested, here is a good link to follow the story, and background a little more. It's on the front page, with several other related items.
