Both Lucy and Ardi are obviously false fossils planted by God to root out the nonbelievers so that they can not participate in the rapture.

Went to see Lucy when she was in Houston a couple of years back - I could not believe how many idiots turned out to mock the exhibit.

This is big news and very cool indeed!

Well...mocking aside, if that was the case. Poor form out of them. Even if this were to be true...can we please can the "artist rendition" of what Lucy or Ardi would of looked like. You have some scraps of bones and some how a up-right walking creature with facial expressions and skin and hair are preceived to be an accurate portrayal. This is very misleading...but yet it dawns the front page of the Wall Street Journal today.

The language of specualtion, which is littered in these articles, is far from stone cold fact. Let's not get coo-coo here...

Here's some further reading on how it would have had a bigger impact a few years ago. It's amazing how often the history books are being rewritten.

Ardipithecus ramidus remains finally published after years of delay. Not all that interesting. : Greg Laden's Blog

In the beginning, we were all fish. Okay? Swimming around in the water. And then one day a couple of fish had a ****** baby, and the ****** baby was different, so it got to live. So ****** Fish goes on to make more ****** babies, and then one day, a ****** baby fish crawled out of the ocean with its ...mutant fish hands... and it had butt sex with a squirrel or something and made this ****** frog-sqirrel, and then *that* had a ****** baby which was a... monkey-fish-frog... And then this monkey-fish-frog had butt sex with that monkey, and that monkey had a mutant ****** baby that screwed another monkey... and that made you! So there you go! You're the ******** offspring of five monkeys having butt sex with a fish-squirrel! Congratulations!

How did they continue breeding offspring through butt sex?

    There was one?
