    The Rockies pull it off

At this point they are a shoe-in to be the NL wildcard, up three games with only five remaining regular season games to play.

I'm confused. Aren't they tied right now after giving up 3 runs in the 9th inning?

I thought the Rockies had the game won being up three runs going into the 9th inning.

If Rockies lose tonight the Braves will take the wild card.

Re: The Rockies pull it off

It doesn't look good for the Braves.... I really don't think that it was possible for them to win tonight as 8 in a row gets tough. I also thought that after taking 2 of 3 from the Cards that the Rockies were due for an L tonight.

The Rockies need to win 2 of the next 5 or I think the Braves will be on top of them.....not an impossible or even unlikely feat. The Braves need to win 5 of the next 5......not impossible but it is an unlikely feat.

It is going to be tough but it ain't over till it is over.

As a Cardinals fan living in Denver, I hope the Cards and Rox meet in the playoffs.

That said, I'm lucky to say that the last three games I've been to the Rockies have won in walk-off fashion with two of them being HR's (last night's 2 run homer, and the grand-slam in the 14th last month against the Giants). Good times!

As a lifelong Dodger fan, I don't really care who wins the wildcard, but I wouldn't want to play the Rockies, they're the hottest team in the NL since the all-star break.

Make Rockies executives aware of this. You need to be at every game.

The Rockies will be playing the Phillies while the Cards will be matched up against the Dodgers.

The wild card team plays the division winner with the best record. The exception is that the wild card team can not be matched up against the division winner in their same division.

Technically, if the Rockies win this last game against the Brewers and then sweep the Dodgers, they can still win the West. In that case, they would meet the Cards in the first round.
