    Cubs lineup for 2010

I have seen alot of AAA players tearing the ball up in the big leagues.
I would love nothing more than seeing Soriano leave us. Sure we would pay But I would set this line up:
    1st - Derreck Lee R/R/ and Hoffpauir L/L
    2nd - Baker R/R/ Fontenot L/R
    SS - Theriot R/R
    3rd - Ramirez R/R/ Baker R/R
    Left Field - Fox R/R
    Center Field- Fuld L/L
    Right Field - Fukudome L/R
    Catcher - Soto R/R Hill S/R

    Batting Order:
    Baker - right
    Theriot - right
    Lee -right
    Ramirez - right
    Fukudome left
    Fox - right
    Fuld - Left
    Soto - right
Pitcher If Zambrano bats..but him in the 5th slot

Lose the money on Soriano, Miles, Bradley, get a frickin bat... lots of bats out there:
Jermaine Dye - Liked his bat
Carl Crawford - will bring speed/ and bat
Matt Holliday - perfect fit for Wrigley...
Manny Ramirez - hate to see it... but dang the bat at wrigley with him there....wow
Jason Bay - get the Cub killer for when he was with the Pirates

    and tons more....

Speaking of cubs. If anyone wants to go to Wrigley for cheap, now is the time. I checked stub hub the other day and you can get great seats for cheap.

That team wouldn't win 75 games.

    Re: Cubs lineup for 2010

I see them going out and getting a speedy leadoff guy for 2B and a run producer for the OF and other than that maybe some real minor signings/deals. The pitching staff won't change much and they are locked up with so many big contracts that 2B and OF are the only 2 spots they can really do anything with. Freddy Sanchez would be great at 2B but would probably cost too much. Orlando Hudson is probably a more realistic option. There are some good bats out there on that list of OF, just depends on how much they want to spend really. Really hard to tell what this team will do until the Ricketts set the payroll and if we see they can dump some guys to make room for an impact player or 2.

We figure we'll get it right one of these centuries.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

Orlando Hudson and Chone Figgins I think are both available this year.

    Re: Cubs lineup for 2010

Yep, that lineup is the one you just watched this season. Why do we want to see the same, oft injured people out there again for 162?? We need more than 1 bat, how about a bullpen, trade Z for a young arm and an infield prospect and go after a big bat or 2 in the outfield.

Soriano's stuck here so you might as well include him in the mix.

I would be absolutely stunned in Manny didn't use his player option at the end of the season and stay with the Dodgers. With him missing 50 games this season because of banned substance use and his declining stats, $20 million from the Dodgers will probably look pretty dang good to him. But it IS Manny, and you never really know what's going on in his head.
