I actually like when places don't serve beer. After 6 hrs of tailgaiting, I'm ready to take it easy for a while. And who doesn't love running out to the car during halftime and shotgunning a beer?
I also enjoy saving the money because I spent $80 on Shinerbocks at the TCU/ISU bowl game in Houston in '05.

    Re: Beer at arrowhead

Now the question is how much for what volume. I would be ok with paying 5$ for a 16 ouncer....

Royals were 7.50 for a 16 oz. though. So one would assume that they would charge relatively the same amount.

Edit: and water was 4.50 if I remember right

I remember that. At least at the pep rally the night before, they were selling those 16oz plastic bottles for $8 each. And it cost 5 dollars to get into the pep rally, so we figured it was cheaper/smarter to just leave the pep rally, shot gun a beer, and pay another $5 to get back in, rather than spend the $8 on a beer inside.

Wow, that would be nice. I think we ended up going to all TCU bars that night. I'm not joking when I'm telling people that the two places we hit up were called the armadillo and the volcano. The people at the volcano really liked ISU people because they were from Texas Tech.

We chose to stay away from the bars that trip mainly because we heard the cover was going to be rediculous since it was new years. Instead we took over our hotel pool and parking lot.
Man... I can't wait until we get to a bowl game again!

Yeah they will serve beer (and whatever other drinks normally sold during chiefs game, I remember they had Margaritas at the last Chiefs game I went to). Gotta love $8 beer night!

Yes, there will certainly be beer.... if you can afford it.

And since the issue has come up on the boards recently, they will allow you to bring in a bottle of water to the stadium. This is the policy for both the K and Arrowhead. It must be unopened, and it is limited to one 20oz bottle per person, however, I have carried in the larger bottles before with no issue. If you want water at the game, best to plan ahead rather than pay out the butt when you get there.

    Re: Beer at arrowhead

I was at the Chiefs game last Sunday and beer at the concessions was $7.50 and $7.75 via the vendors. Everything else was just as expensive. A regular Gates bbq sandwich was $8. They are much more strict and will pat you down and if you look drunk you really get checked.
