    Re: Kent State Recap

Our offense still needs work. (duh). If not for our defense, this game could have had a much different result.

Too many red zone points left on the field.

Very good analysis. I agree on all points.

On a Saturday night in Ohio, they Iowa State Cyclones were able to win their first road football game since 2005—a span that included 17 road games and 3 head coaches.

    Re: Kent State Recap

    well written.

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

Ha ha, you got me there. Doing these late at night after the 1.5 year old is in bad has some negatives. Want to be my proof reader? I'm hiring. You can have 40% of what I make for writing these...which is nothing.

Nice article. Captures my "glass half full" outlook. Did we turn it over 4 times? Yes, but turned it over 4 times and still managed to get our first road win in convincing fashion. Plus, as you note, 3 of the TO were either backups (Tiller, Schwartz) or late game poor decision that is correctable (Lenz).
