Lost in the Frey - ARob

Back-to-back 100 yd games: 100 vs. Iowa, 143 vs. Kent St.

When was the last time this happened? It is a good thing and should be a given since we do have a veteran O-Line. I'd like to see him hit 1000 yds this season.

He could have ran for 300 yards last night with the holes he was getting.

Currently 14th in the country in rushing. If he was on a better team, he would be a house hold name by now.

This. Keep in mind that he had a 40 yard run called back on a hold and another 20+ yard run that was called back as well.

The O-line is coming together nicely, and A-rob is more aware of where the holes are going to be. He's listening to the line calls and learning WHERE to run. Rushing like this is going to win the team a lot of games.
Team: Eliminate mistakes and hang on to the %$@@@!!! football and we can see the post season.

We fumbled 5 TIMES vs Kent State (lost 3) and threw 1 Int

So far this season we have turned the ball over 12 times: 6 ints, 6 fumbles.

At that rate, the season will produce 48 T.O.s: 24 Ints and 24 lost fumbles..........................................and not a lot of wins.

That should be very possible, especially if Schwartz can't hold onto the ball and therefore does not get many carries.

I'd like to see him hit 2000 yds this season... although that's probably a stretch. A Cyclone fan can dream though, can't he?

My brother in law and I were watching the game and really like how he was getting some big runs. Yeah it stunk that a few got called back but I like how the o line is starting to get some things open. I hope they can keep that up and cut down on the holds - if they do A Rob could be looking at a 1000 yard year.

Re: Lost in the Frey - ARob

Itís great to have a running game again, keep it up AROB!

He looks like he is gaining yards in big chunks but when you check the stats there are several big 12 backs with better yards/carry.

    Finley (B.U.) is at 9.6 yds/carry
    Murry (O.U.)) is at 6.8 yds/carry
    Michael (AM) is at 6.7
    AROB is at 5.6

AROB averaged 4.6 in 2008, a big improvement that may be due to the spread offense.

It may be due to an adequate OL.

Maybe more than that. We still have to play some teams that are a LOT better than Kent State at producing turnovers. Kansas is #2 in turnover margin, Missouri is #7, and we still have to play them. Not to mention teams like Nebraska and Oki State, which aren't exactly patsies either.
