    I knew we'd start slow...

Watching the team warm up and then when the starters were announced - it looked like we were half asleep. I turned to my wife and said "The first part of this game is going to be ugly, we look like zombies".

That's exactly what happened, until we finally woke up later in the 1st half. Maybe these guys need a bucket of cold water tossed on them before each game. It's silly we consistently start slow each game.

On a humorous note, before tip-off Clark was putting some of that chalky stuff on his hands. The container sits right by John Walters. As Clark rubbed in on, just before he took the court - he flung the excess from his hands onto Walter's head.

    Laughed my butt off.

I didn't see that, but Michael Jordan used to do that before every game to Tom Dore and Johnny "Red" Kerr.

I thought we were going to go into the first media timeout for the second consecutive home game with zero points. We better find a way to get pumped up for the first five minutes of the game -- preferrably by Saturday.

KG has done it also for years, and I have seen King James do it recently too.

Re: I knew we'd start slow...

I mentioned this in another thread, too. I knew immediately seeing the guys in pre-game that this would be a slow start. Mike Taylor went to go get a sip of water just seconds before tip-off, and then walked slowly onto the court. Let's see a little bit of hustle, come on!

If if is the one right before tipoff to which you are referring, it would be Rob Zombie.

Cuz when I think of basketball, I of course think of Rob Zombie.

Re: I knew we'd start slow...

I didn't see a very focused look on the player's faces during warm-ups either. They didn't see to be shooting the ball very well and it reflected for the most part in the game, especially early on. I hope next year's team is more ready to go at the start of games and can find ways to jump on early leads. If we wouldn't have played like crap during the first half of some of our losses, we could have had a few more wins underneath our belt. I look to see much improvement next year in this respect.

That techno song they play at the basketball games and at the football games that has the "oh oh oh" chant in it is ZOMBIE NATION (NOT ROB ZOMBIE, LOL!!!) and it's called "Kernkraft 400" the OhOhOh Remix...
