Been there quite a few times. One one end you can get by with jeans and a collared shirt at the bar, could dress it up a bit with a jacket - or on the other end you wouldnt look out of place with a suit/tie. I have been there in everything from shorts to a coat/tie - they don't discriminate.

Sbrocco is great. The owners are very casual and friendly; nice jeans and a collared shirt would be sufficient. Be prepared to drop a pretty penny, but it is worth it! If you are a wine lover check out the selection in the cellar (stairway going down as you enter restaurant).

I would wear at least khakis and a nice shirt if I were you. Yeah, it's not cheap, but you are getting the former chef of Sage (what used to be the best restaurant in town).

You can wear whatever you want, it doesn't matter at all. Wear shorts and a ****** shirt if you want.

Its a great place and one I hit up with my parents after I Cubs games. If you want a real bar after dinner and you aren't huge on wine, head down to Shorty's (underneath Sbrocco). The entrance is off the alley and has a small light above the door. It is really like hanging out in someone's basement in the 70's, but is a nice quiet place for a date.

I haven't been to shorty's in a couple of years. Great little bar.

Wear a mesh, cutoff midriff shirt, leather Daisy Dukes and a pink boa. Use the words "gauche" and "uncultured" frequently. Speak loudly with a thick, vaguely European accent. Be short with the staff and send your meal back at least once. Spill your drink on another guest and blame him for the "accident."

    Enjoy.
