    Sugarland Concert in Ames Tonight

Is anybody going to this? I love country music but hate Sugarland. Can't stand that woman's voice.

Also, do any of you know who is playing with them?

    Thanks,

Was thinking about going, but wasn't sure anyone was playing with them and didn't want to spend $65 on just them.

You can't stand Jennifer Nettles voice? I believe she one of the purest, best voices in the business. I'll never understand how people flock to Taylor Swift's studio voice and not to Sugarland. Some people are entertainers and some are singers. JN can sing. TS is a studio creation that happens to be a marketing dream.

Not doubting that at all brother. She has a very distinct voice...I just happen to not like it. Didn't say she wasn't talented. Just not my style.

How can you bag on T-Swift? J/K...

Was going but something came up and had to give my tix away. I was actually looking forward to it. I think Billy Currington & Matt Nathanson were opening up.

Nettles does have kind of an annoying voice, but her melodies are just so darn upbeat and cheery.

Billy Currington is opening? I would have paid $65 for Sugarland and him. Love his new song "People are Crazy"

Nettles can sing great....if she would leave it at that. It is her personality that is uber-abrasive. Springsteen is similar....great songwriter and a comforting what I call a sing-along-voice (someone who isn't great singer, so you can sing with him harmlessly), but he has been reading his own press for too long. Sing about the human heart and condition, relationships, and the sadly glorious elements of life, which he does wonderfully....but please refrain from the sanctimony and telling us how to govern. Being socially responsible, Bruce will never get a red cent of my money for the rest of his trust fund's life.
God IS great, beer is good, and I am crazy.

How about DMB, Army, and Michael Franti & Spearhead next weekend. Awesome!
