    CYDline Show

Okay I've never listened to the coach's call-in show. Ever. While browsing the Clone Zone stuff, I noticed they had the audio so I figured what the hell, I'll give it a listen.

I now see what everyone has always been commenting about. It was mildly amusing. I know everyone always wants to know about the percentages, well some guy David is behind us %5000.

    Re: CYDline Show

    This isnt too far off.

Hey uhh coach.. how are you??? we talked a few weeks ago at HyVee remember me? Anyway, sorry I couldnt make it to the game last week. My aunt needed a ride to the foot doctor.

Anyway.... We know you will do big things as a coach here, but one quick question... why do you guys get set at the line of scrimmage and then back out and look at the sidelines....

I will hang up and listen.

    Re: CYDline Show

In the past I listened to this show on a weekly basis for the entertainment. I remember Denny from Clear Lake asking Chizik if he wanted to go hunting with him. I'm sure Gene would feel comfortable going out in the woods with a gun with that guy.

What is the percentage of callers that are over the age of 75 and have been drinking for over seven hours already by the start of the show?!?

Um coach I dont think what you are doing will work and my friends think the samething. You need to do such and such and this and that to win.

    Re: CYDline Show

I tried calling in last night and didn't get through. Dissappointed that of the first 4 callers(#2 and #3 I believe), 2 were hawks, including wolfgang of the pete and repeat show (a.k.a. Jon Miller’s SIX DEGREES OFF OF HAWKEYE FOOTBALL) . Wolfgang starts out by saying, I am a hawk fan and don't worry John I'll be nice, and goes on with the question he already knows the answer too...and they say we are infatuated with the hawks.

On a similar note, the other hawk fan from Cedar Rapids that called in, had a well thought out question that provided follow-up questions and was a very good representation of the hawk fan base.

I think we all should make a point to jot down a question for Coach and bring some new Cyclone blood to the show. And when I say show, I mean the Cycone Show not the eiu call in show.

    Re: CYDline Show

I wonder if Jamie ever played a tape of the show to Gene or Paul before they were hired? If so, they probably would have demanded an extra $100G to put up with that weekly.

More specifically, what percentage of callers named "Tommy" are over 75 and have been drinking for over seven hours by the start of the show?

While I have nothing but respect for said caller, until Diamond Dave comes out with 5000% support, I cannot put full credence in this number.

Just had a guy top that one- called and said sorry he didn't call in the last two weeks. THEN he went on to ask JP if ISU could add soccer in the next couple years, before his son was done with high school.

I forgot to tune it this evening. Out of curiosity, how high was the Diamond Dave %-O-Meter tonight?

There should be a Dave-O-Meter at JTS, like the old sign (Yard-O-Meter? TD-O-Meter?) for Troy Davis.

Starting percentage comes from the call-in show. Adjust accordingly as good and bad things happen during the game.
