    Michael Jordan

Sounds like he had his own foot-in-mouth moment. He, as well as Kanye, don't realize what a-holes they are.

I thought his speech was fine. People need to get over it. You can't compare Jordan's speech to Kanye at all.

I watched it live and was shocked. Talk about awkward.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

I thought he sounded rather arrogant. Granted he has a right to sound cocky because he could back it up but it's always better to be humble when going into a Hall of Fame.

The thing about is nobody ever watches the basketball HOF speeches. All of sudden MJ speaks, and the whole world is watching. Yeh he made some petty comment, BFD. It seems like every baseball HOF member is making a comment about steroids anymore. That is just as petty IMO.

MJ has always been arrogant. This is nothing new.

    Re: Michael Jordon

I have been a longtime Jordan, but when I watched his speech I was disgusted. The sheer hubris was amazing. Lost a lot of respect for MJ.

I doubt Jordan is alone in the world of sport. He carefully marketed himself. I bet if we met a lot of top athletes we would be shocked at how arrogant they are.

That's why I was shocked. I knew he was very good at marketing/media/commercials, so I thought he knew better than to act like that during one of the more televised HOF inductions. His arrogance put Rickey Henderson to shame.

Other NBA hall of famer guys were disgusted. People who watch all the speeches were disgusted.

He's the best player ever, loved by all, barely any bad things said about the guy......and yet he feels like he needs to ***** about all the people who did him wrong all his life. Hey Michael, basketball made you the biggest sports star ever and made you millions of dollars. Don't be bitter!! Be happy!!

Don't change your last name just because of one speech - much too drastic!!!
