    Keys for ISU Vs. Iowa

For us to win I think we need to control the ball, clock/time of possession. This means A-Rob's play will be crucial. If A-Rob can get 100+, I think we'll be in good shape....

We need to be positive in the turnover margin!

    Special teams must be solid.

Tire the Iowa defense when we're on offense (run them around!).

Don't give up the big play on defense.

I want to see Iowa State score touchdowns instead of field goals when we get into the red zone.

Our defense needs to cover Iowa's tight ends and not give up big plays.

One of my biggest concerns you hit on. I am afraid that the Iowa D, particularly the D-Line is going to get tired like they did last week.

I think the keys for the game (from an Iowa perspective are):
-Limit ISU to field goal attepmts, not touchdowns
-Take multiple shots deep down the field
-Play action rolls to the flats to the TE's
-And the two obvious-limit TO's and special teams

Re: Keys for ISU Vs. Iowa

dont play like colorado.. thats my advice for our team...

    anyway..

i think the keys will be certain players, on offense im going to say darius darks, we have seen what hamilton can do this year, we have seen what money can do, we need to see darius come back from the injury to give us a 3rd threat, (it could also be Sed Johnson)

on D im going to say Parker, he is athletic enough and fast enough i think he can cause alot of pressure on stanzi and actually track him down..

as far as game play.. once again we need to do what we did last week and not get penalized.. and cant afford many mental errors.. if we can prevent big plays i say iowa state can win this game.

The thing that stood out to me is this team makes adjustments.. which is really nice to see for once

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
