    Injury update?

Anyone know how Jones, Darks, and SJ are doing? I know it looked like the last two would be fine and play.

Thats three of our top 5 WRs with injury. Not having to play walk on receivers again this week would be really nice.

    Re: Injury update?

Jones is not one of our top 5 wideouts. He played last season a lot, but it was clear other players were better. He is a hard worker, and I think that is why Chizik and staff liked him so much.

Not trying to start something here, but how can you make that statement? 32 receptions is pretty darn good to me

I'm assuming Darks and Sed will be OK since we haven't heard anything about them.

    Re: Injury update?

Yes, but they were short 7-10 yard out routes mostly, and he never made a play and did not seem very fast. IIRC he was recruited as a QB, so his speed and quickness is understandable. Marquis did not get as much playing time last season, even though he played well as a freshman under McCarney when he saw the field, and played really well as SO, only to be essentially benched. I would take Sed, Darks, Hamilton, Money, and Zitek over Jones. You could even say Franklin is a top 5 receiver on this team.

Sed is a little banged up but will play saturday and should be close to 100%

Sed and Darks both will be playing, but not sure how close to 100% they are?

Good point. Franklin will be lining up at wideout way more than Houston would if healthy. I would like to see Houston back soon so he can get some work. We need all the healthy wideouts we can get. He has shown some ability to catch the ball, if not the most consistency and play making ability.

Jake Williams is playing alot over Zitek.

Jones is in a walking boot still.

Sorry to hear that - his best game of his career was last year against the Hawks. Hamilton, Money, Sed, & Darks will have to carry the load on Saturday.
