    ISU's best 4 star recruit

Which one is it? Just going back to the 2002 class.

    Sed Johnson
    JJ Bass
    Paul Fisher

    Webster Patrick
    Austin Flynn
    Stevie Hicks

    Curtis James
    Collin Menard
    Frederico Samuel
    Max Steward

I was thinking the other day how it seems like 4 star ISU football recruits always seem to have bad luck.

Stevie Hicks was a very quality player when healthy. 1000 yard back.
Austin Flynn will remain a Cyclone favorite for many many ISU fans. Very good receiver and gave his all at QB
Collin Menard was a starter on the O line

Most everyone agrees that Sedrick Johnson will end up doing something at ISU before his career is over.

The rest either didn't make it or never did anything at ISU.

    What about Darius "Money" Reynolds?

Flynn or Hicks. I think the edge has to be given to Flynn since Hicks seemed to constantly be injured.

Re: ISU's best 4 star recruit

Bo was also a 4 star recruit. Not sure you count him since he was a transfer but we'll take it.

Sed Johnson looks the part but hasn't proven much. I can't wait to see him healthy in this offense.Money Reynolds looks very promising. Although JJ Bass looked pretty good the first few weeks of his junior year and didn't do much after he got hurt and A-Rob took his spot.

Flynn and Hicks were steady contributors.

Flynn, without question. It's not even close.

He's everything that's right about sports and you'd be happy if your son turned out exactly like him.

No crying, no moaning, just a work ethic and desire to win that was 2nd to none.

I'm going with Austin Flynn. Stevie was a good back, but Austin made a real difference both on and off the field.

Hicks. He didn't turn out like we hoped but he still had the best career out of the guys you mentioned

Austin Flynn. He made the move from QB to receiver = selfless.

Also, he has a hot girlfriend.

Wife, if I'm not mistaken. Also probably has a good looking son as well.

I might vote for Flynn, but Hicks is one of the most underrated Cyclones I think. He was consistent, and a great blocker if I remember right.

Agree with all of this. I'd say it's a push between Flynn and Hicks. Both provided us w/some great memories, and were hard nosed guys.

In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.

IMO, Flynn edges out Hicks. If Hicks would have been healthy his entire career, things may have been different.
