    PDFs in Firefox

    Okay,

We have a new laptop and we primarily use Firefox for Internet browsing. We have Adobe 9 installed. We can not see PDFs from weblinks inside of Firefox but can in IE.

    The error message is attached.

    thoughts?

Have you looked at Options--Applications to see which program you've said is to open pdf docs? Might need to change it.

I've got 9.1.0.163 and it works fine. Maybe you need to update the plug-in.

    I need to uninstall Adobe?

Or change the PDF application settings inside of FF to use this?

Mine's 9.0.0.something, but I would second the switch to Foxit, I use that at home and like it.

My past experience has been to do this as well. I struggled with this for awhile and then finally installed Foxit and everything worked like I was use to with IE.

For "PDF file" mine is set at "Always ask".
For the two "Adobe Acrobat Forms Document.." choices, it's Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox). This pull-down choice menu also has "Use Adobe Acrobat 9.1 (default).

I have FF 3.5.1 and Adobe Acrobat 9.1.0.163
