    Portillo's in Chicago

Is it good? That seems to be all I hear about out here for places I should eat. Any opinions on people that have ate there before?

We ate there before a Cubs game in July and made another trip (15 dollar cab ride) just to eat there again the next day. Hot dogs are amazing---pretty much can't go wrong with anything in there...

Thanks. Everybody I've talked to makes it seem like it's the best place on earth. I guess I'll have to find out myself one of these days.

I wouldn't call myself a counessiour of hotdogs, but it is the best one I've had.

Where are some better ones at?

You will learn after living here for a while that eating deep dish is the only way to have pizza.

    Re: Portillo's in Chicago

Portillo's is a safe bet and there are like 27 or so around the Chicagoland area. Ricobene's is also very good, but there are fewer of them. Giordono's is my favorite pizza, but there are also some good stuffed pizza places like Lou Malnati's, Uno's, and Gino's East.

Portillo's is great, but I think it is a bit overrated, only in the sense that it is so crowed in some of the locations now.

As a side note, you can find a nice autograph of Sean Hayes in many if not all of them.
