    For sure!

    Game one of a new season, opening against a conference foe that had a great year in '08. Rutgers winning 3 straight bowl games...then starting this season with a set of inexperienced QBs.

    Yup, he should have bailed, he's gonna be canned soon!

    Yep, no doubt ISU would have been competing for Big 12 North titles by know with Kelly at the helm....Pollard really dropped the ball by not hiring him.

    Did Kelly actually interview for the job? I can't remember, I know that a lot of people thought for sure he was the guy....Brian Kelly forgets more about football in a day than Gene Chizik has ever known.

    1. It's unknown if we even had a shot at him.
    2. Cinncy and ISU live in 2 very different words. The Big East is rising, but it's not the Big 12.
    3. How does anyone know what Kelly would be doing at ISU? Playing this out on the Xbox?

    I definitely like having CPR, but got to agree that Brian Kelly has shown he is a very good FB coach. He could outcoach Chiz with his eyes closed.

    Cincy looks good. I was checking out their roster. They are getting a lot of the top players in the state of Ohio, which is obviously a recruiting hotbed. With Kelly at the helm, they could be building a miniature dynasty there.

    I thought Kelly had been interviewed and JP might have hired him, but he wanted to wait a few days on his decision and JP didn't want to wait because of Chiz. I don't know how Kelly would be doing with us in the Big 12, but he's obviously a great coach and doing a great job in the Big East, which has been a very tough conference the last few years.

    Kelly still hasn't proved anything at Cincy, he's still riding the momentum that Dantonio built up before he split. I wouldn't be suprised at all to see Kelly leave after this year when he realizes he can't sustain the momentum very long...
