    Nebraska looked sharp

Jeff Sagarin had Florida Atlantic at 102 and NDSU at 150 at the end of last season. I think it is evident that FAU and NDSU are, at the very least, comparable teams. That said, Nebraska destroyed Florida Atlantic by 46 points. And we're playing them in Lincoln this year.

WOW, NU beat FAU by 46. Just wait till V-Tech beats them by 46 and their whole season implodes on them.

I'm more impressed with Mizzou beating the Illini.

Agreed Mizzou, I thought, would be down this year but that does not appear to be the case. They looked good!

I'll be impressed with Nebraska when they play someone who is actually competitive.

Like those above, I'm impressed more with Mizzou.

    Re: Nebraska looked sharp

Baylor's win at Wake was pretty impressive. OSU dominated GA for most of the game. The Big 12 might be the cream of the crop this year in college football. Which I was a little shocked, I thought Mizzou, Neb., and Tech would take a step back.

    Re: Nebraska looked sharp

To expect a first year staff in their first game to looks as sharp as Nebraska is asking a lot. Add to that the fact that the no huddle needs the call of the OC in the press box, and the equipment wasn't working, and you have yet another factor. If the option pass is caught, you still have a blowout. Did we look sharp-no. But we did what we had to.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that. FAU has won back-to-back bowl games. To compare them to a middle tier I-AA school is ridiculous.

Face it, Nebraska has actually gotten better on both sides of the ball, and that just kills you to admit to yourselves. Mizzou's win was very impressive. I don't see how that's going to help you in Lincoln, however.

How can you say two teams 48 spots apart are "at the very least comparable"? Is the #2 team comparable to the #50 team? Is the #20 team comparable to the #68 team? Not hardly.

Like they always do? Wanna check a history book before you say that? Football didn't start 6 years ago.

I'd rather be kicking the crap out of someone repeatedly now rather than rest on my history.

For Mizzou, Football started (6) years ago.

You can go back to 1899 or 1970 if you want to. I'm more interested in RECENT History. HA HA HA HA HA HA.

I Can't wait to see Mizzou Kick NU's Butt. When's the last time NU won in Columbia. That's RIGHT, Baby.

OK, fine, you actually enhance my argument. Nebraska destroyed a team that was VASTLY BETTER (your statement) than a team that we had difficulties against.

What have we done, in men's basketball, during this same time period? Aren't we also guilty, somewhat, of "resting on our history"?
