    Tight Game

While we may have felt better if ISU dominated an outmanned NDSU squad, I do think there are a lot of benefits to the way the game played out.

    - Starters stayed in until 4th Q, getting more reps together and improving game level stamina.

    - It looks like the team and coaches stayed poised even when NDSU was only one score from tying the game. Playing under pressure will yield dividends this season.

I think we may have a better chance of improving more from week 1 to week 2 the way the game played out than if we had drilled them 45-3 and had the starters on the bench in the second half.

This may be but I didn't seen many subs throughout the game on d. KB was on the field a lot! Punt coverage and I believe he was in the whole game on d. I never once seen Devin McDowell out there. I know him and TB were fighting for the last nickle back spot but I think he could have came in and spelled KB for a while. TB played some corner last year I believe...I like the sack TB had when he blitzed from the nickle position.
