    Wins vs 1-AA teams

Tonight was maybe our best win against a 1-AA team since the days of Seneca Wallace.

Our win in 2004 against UNI was pretty good 23-0.

Going back to 2003 it looks like this..

    UNI 17-10
    UNI 23-0
    Illinois St 32-21
    UNI 28-27
    UNI 13-24 LOSS
SDSU 44-17 (6 TOs enflated the score, but it was a good win)
    NDSU 34-17

If you look back at the SDSU game it should make you feel better about last nights game. NDSU was a lot better team and if they would have had 6 TO's we would have beat them by a lot more.

Was the year we won 9 games the year we hung 50 on UNI?

    That was a fun year.

That UNI game is still embarrasing.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that NDSU is/was that much better of a team that the '08 SDSU squad. NDSU may be better with all the guys back from suspension ... but they likely won't even come close to winning their own conference this year. Say what you will about SDSU, but they were a lot closer to winning the conference last year than NDSU was.

From what I saw on the field the 09 NDSU squad was better than the 08 SDSU squad. NDSU had better lines on both sides.

    Or were our lines weaker?

Playing 1AA schools is like kissing your sister (ok your best friends sister). Not a ton of enjoyment. A win is a win. NDSU was impressive I think their running backs were faster than ours. At least NDSU was like a real good looking best friends sister.

I wouldn't say the running back was faster he was just able to get into the open field and ARob was not. It all comes back to our defensive line.

    Re: Wins vs 1-AA teams

NDSU is not a good team. They are an avg. FCS team this year. That will become clear as the year goes on.

I remember many saying Kent St. would challenge for the MAC the last couple years and they were awful.
