    Rhoads 1-0!

Congrats to coach Rhoads and his staff for winning their first game! Way to kick off the new era with a solid victory! Is anyone else choosing to be optomistic with me?

    Re: Rhoads 1-0!

Our defense will not allow us to be great. After watching the defense they played better this year than last. No penalties. The NDSU running back was lightning fast. This was a good team that will win some games. The best part without question was the crowd. 48,200 fans and at least 45,000 of those were in Cardinal and Gold. The stadium was full. It was a great welcome home party for CPR and staff. Well done Cyclones and Fans

    Great turnout, indeed!

I have to say that those Bison fans turned out pretty much like they said they would. They were a quieter bunch than I expected.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

Better then we played last year's AA team? Not to be a downer, but this game made me take my glasses off and realize its going to be a long year. shoot we got worked for 140+ on the ground.

NHL teams need to be added to the favorite teams section.

Yep. Might as well just call the rest of the season off because this is as good as we'll be all season.

    Re: Rhoads 1-0!

You expected us to come and play lights out? At least things were 100x more organized and less sloppy than Chiziks/McCarney's first game. I don't think we will challenge for the north title, but i do think this team will improve a ton before the end of the year.

And the Iowa game, regardless of how weak our D line is, Iowa won't run all over us. If they do, we will put up a lot of points offensively to counter it, and no way we lose by very much.

    Re: Rhoads 1-0!

It's funny how people drive a Chevette for a couple years, then take it to a new mechanic for the summer to have him go through it and try to fix all the troubles and then wonder why they don't have a Corvette when the drive it home. We have a lot to improve on, but I seen a lot of positives I didn't see last year and first game cobwebs have a factor too.

I was thinking that the announcer last night said that 48,8XX people were at the game which was a record for an ISU opener. Take that Chizdick

    Re: Rhoads 1-0!

Remember one thing with the defense. Wally still has to pull all the suck out of the last 2 years of learning. The fact we got through this game with virtually no penalties for loss and no BS delay of game is a huge step. We need to get to zero first, then we can start to really improve.
