I dont think i have ever been this pumped for the first game

after missing all of last year.. i dont think i have ever been this pumped up for an iowa state football game.. its crazy how much i took advantage of just being in ames all my life and always going.. so with that said.. only one song is fitting

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I've been more pumped in other seasons. But probably because as of right now I won't be there for this one.

We'll see if that changes in the next 8 hours 45 minutes.....

Strangely enough - the office has a lingering smell of meat on the grill ..

The excitement is contagious. It really only takes a couple of people to rile a crowd. I want it loud there when I watch the game from my computer =)

I was pumped for the 2005 campaign. I may be more pumped for this season depending on how the team performs tonight...

I don't know what it is, but I woke up this morning very excited. I was kinda ambivalent the past couple of weeks, but now, all of a sudden, fired up.

    GAMEDAY BABY!!! Let's go State.

I think that guitar riff and siren (yes, it is axel) at the beginning get me fired up

Re: I dont think i have ever been this pumped for the first game

I too am pumped. Very pumped. Like that time 2 years ago when this homeless man challenged me to a race for $50. I CRUSHED him, it was awesome. It took him 7 months to come up with the $50, but I didn't care. He needed to be taught a lesson. Anyway, when I want to get really pumped, this is what I listen to....

If that doesn't get you pumped up you are most likely dead.

Re: I dont think i have ever been this pumped for the first game

Seriously, I haven't been this pumped since I bought my Rodenator. I know it seems odd to compare the two, but my wife had just left me and I was really hitting the whole milk hard so blasting those little rodents really stopped me from heading down a dark path. Go Clones!

Just make sure that you run into him with your fist.

That being said I left the office for lunch and put in my CD for tailgaiting and Thunderstruck was song #2. That made the hair on the back of my neck stand up listening to that song. I can't remember being this excited for a long time. The fact we have a coach that truly wants to be here is what I am attributing my uncontrollable excitement to. I think the Clones are going to take the Bison out to the woodshed tonight. GO STATE!!!!!!!!!!!
