Why post this? You know your are having fun laughing at the cubs colapse.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

There is a lot of baseball left to play -- go look at 1969 for example!!!!

Shocking you would bring that up.

Or the Mets the last few seasons...

Phillies still look like the team to beat IMO.

    Re: Wildcard

Its not that far fetched. Will it happen? Probably not but they have a very favorable schedule the rest of the season. Only 2 more series against winning teams and none of those are at home. I'm not saying its likely but crazier things have happened. Also, 2 years ago TO THIS DATE in 2007, the colorado rockies were 3 games above .500 (identical), 5.5 games back of the WC (may be identical), and had the same amount of teams ahead of them as the cubs do today.

No. Outside of Carpenter and Wainwright, there isn't anyone on the Cards staff that will scare anyone. The Giants have the best pitching of anyone in the race, and if they get in, look out.

As my 2nd favorite team, it would please me greatly to watch Lincecum and Cain carve up St. Louis.

    Re: Wildcard

Who ever has home field in the series matchups what ever they are will have a huge advantage as every team has a major flaw that is in the running for a playoff spot

Now, I completely understand what you're saying here, but is that necessarily a good thing? Don't you want a chance to possibly play some of the teams in front of you? That way you can control more of your own destiny.

Please point out the "major" flaws for each of the following teams (not saying they don't have one, I just want to know what exactly you think each of their flaws are):

    Phillies
    Dodgers
    Cardinals
    Rockies
