    One Week Away!

Are you ready for some football!!! This time next week the Trailblazer will be packed with beer, grill and everything for tailgating. Will drop kids off at school, head in to work for 45 min. then head out to Ames from the Quad Cities. What's your plan for heading to Ames?

I keep hearing about numerous Bison players being suspended... How many are we talking and what positions?

Sorry if this has been previously discussed, but I didn't see anything.

So what you're saying is you'll be tailgating for 12 days straight - from the NDSU game to the Iowa game. Awesome!

Oh, and thanks to the magic of the internet, I have a ride to the game and back (even though it's leaving at 5:45 am ), a couple different tailgates to hang out at AND a free ticket. Thanks HUCAC!

Working until 11:30 or so and then grabbing a few people and heading up. Grill, beer, food and games.

Just need to remember to pack the car the night before the game this time...

I didn't mean burn yourself out tailgating, I meant those 45 long minutes at the office!

I will be putting in an entire 4 hours of what I'm sure will be very productive work, and then being up in Ames around 1:00.

    Re: One Week Away!

I just found out instead of having the entire day off Thursday, i have to work until 11 on Thursday Now I'll have to pack everything up the night before. Our group plans to leave Des Moines around 11:30 - Noon and arrive in ames by noon or 12:30. Bust out all the gear and enjoy ourselves. We're fying up some buffalo wings with an assortment of sauces. We'll have plenty of beer and strip and go nakeds for beverages. Fun will be had by way of Polish horseshoes, baggo, and flippy cup.

Also my son's first tailgate and game (he's 8 months). Wife and I won't get to drink as much since we now have more responsibilities but we're sure looking forward to this!!

Yea, I saw that later. Would take the full day off but need to do a quick required inventory first. That will get me on the road at 9:00, have to pick up a friend in Norwalk then head to Ames. Gets us in the lot hopefully around 1pm also.

    Re: One Week Away!

I work evenings and get off at 2:30am the night before the game. So, I plan to come home and get a few hours of sleep and then get on the road in the morning for the 3.5 hour drive to Ames. Check into our hotel, feed the baby, change a diaper or two then drive to the stadium. Park, walk around, check out the activities until game time! Not to sound boring but my wife and I don't drink and have a 1 year old so our pre-game activities are more subdued and different from the norm!
