    The End of Solar Oppression

Sometimes you just stumble into something incredible

This guy has some kind of big idea:

    http://destroythesun.com/

Most of these signatures are clearly people with too much time on their hands, and they seem to be able to vote early and vote often:

    Destroy the Sun! Petition

Just something odd to start a Thursday

Whoa, whoa, whoa. The sun is the least of our worries. We need to start by ridding ourselves of all forms of water. Then we get the remaining oxygen, and then the sun.

I am in favor of the giant sneaker stomp. This would be highly effective, and we already have the technology to make shoes.

The way it functions as a homing beacon for alien trouble, is the sun our own galactic Milton Bradley?

No. I think this guy is goofing around. The pictures at the bottom convince me.

But we're loving it at work. We had rallies, made signs, shouted out some chants.

This is what happens when a bunch of dorks are unsupervised.

I think he was on Letterman once. Or perhaps just referenced by Letterman.
20 years ago, I worked with a guy who had him as his math professor when he attended ISU. He said he was a real wacko.

You mean his alternative method of destroying the sun by throwing rocks at it?

It kind of reminds me of that Simpson's episode when Mr. Burns decided to block out the sun. He made a remark that since the beginning of time man has yearned to destroy the sun.
