    NDSU Game...I had a dream

So I had a dream about this game last night. Just thought I'd document it on here in case it proves to be true.

We won 42-7. We scored a garbage TD as time ran out to hit the 42.

Interested to see how close my dream is to reality.

Me too...I'd rather win with the D holding them to 7pts than something like 60-21.

Well, that one is a pipe dream. In terms of the original definition of "pipe dream".

Hmmm, I don't like that we only scored one TD in garbage time. I think our 3rd string should score at least 3 TD's against them. Try for a better dream tonight.

CPR has too much class for that. We will be running out the clock and taking a knee at the end. 42-7 does not sound like a dream, it sounds about right for this game.

    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

If we're up 42-7 in the 4th quarter, Herman is going to take his foot off the accelerator. It's the classy thing to do, and there are only a handful of coaches in the country who would pile it on at that point. Especially against a lowly FCS opponent like NDSU.

I slightly disagree that the latter isn't classy.

IMO, you play the game, and if you can score 50, do so (excluding the last waning moments). I have yet to an ISU team to that whenever they can.... And I would like to see that, a LOT more often.

I agree, as long as you have backups in you pretty much play your normal offense until you get to the point where you can just kneel down and run the clock out.
