I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

I think some teams out there are really gonna regret not looking/looking more at this guy. What a great pickup and I really think Darius is gonna shine as a Cyclone.

Really wonder why he was kicked off the team in California, but maybe it's better we don't know.

I think most people should get second chances.

    Re: Good read on "Money"

Very cool article. I'm always looking forward to seeing new players in action, but I'm especially excited to see Darius with the ball in his hands.
I just wish he was a frosh!!
I like the quote "He is one of the 3-4 best receivers in camp." That is really all you have to do to be on the field with this offense. Does it really matter if you are the #1 or #3 guy??? You will be on the field 85% of the time anyways. Cant wait to see Darks, Sed, Money, Hamilton, and the TEs creating mismatches all year.

Sounds like the ISU coaches are behind him and excited about his potential!
That being said, so much mystery here seems kind of odd. Like why was he kicked off the team. Or why "The City" doesn't want anyone to know who he is. The reporter always referred to him as "The City" or Reynold's "brother." Darius himself doesn't say even his brother's first name in the article, just "my brother."
    Just odd.

At the risk of people coming after me again, here is the information you were looking for Bobber:

From the Fresno Bee (November 20, 2008):

It was the end of October and Reedley College football coach Michael White was at a crossroads.

The Tigers were 4-3 after losing 27-17 to San Joaquin Delta in Stockton. Preseason All-America quarterback Darius Reynolds had turned into a bust and a distraction that was weighing on the team and had thrown the offense into near chaos.

"I didn't think we had much leadership and, with the distractions, we needed to make changes," White said.

The Tigers' coach kicked Reynolds and his brother, Keondric, off the team for violations of rules.

"There was so much focused on individuality. We needed people to take charge," White said.

The last time this subject came up and I posted this information, people came after me pretty hard. Don't shoot me, I'm only the messenger.

And for those who might be interested, yes, I too, believe in the "second chance." Let's hope Reynolds takes full advantage of the tremendous opportunity he has been given to play football and get an education at Iowa State.

Thank you. Still really doesn't say what the infraction was, but sheds a little more light.

I really like the fact he played quarterback. Could make some interesting play calls this year.

It is interesting that he comes across as a completely different person in interviews in Iowa. His brother has pumped him up plenty, but Money has said very little other than he wants to play and help the team. I hope it works out because he looks like one of the playmaker ISU desperately needs.
