As quick as we are to criticize Bo, I think we have to give him credit for actually maintaining some standards.

It's good to see something like this happen.
    (not the rule violation)

Bo doesn't mess around. This will hurt Nebraska. They were counting on Castille to be a pretty big contributor. Now they are one injury away from having a true freshman as a starting runningback.

I wouldnt say its good to see this happen. Id say its good to see a problem resolved in a manner that isnt sweeping dirty under the rug......not that any school in this state would do that...cough,UofI,cough

Must have the same standard as Iowa, since he wasn't a starter.

Aw shucks!, Rumor mill out of Grand Island says all he was doing was blowing a little weed and that it may have been third time charm.

Re: Nebraska Kicks Castille Off Team

Nebraska has a History of sweeping problems under the Rug. I doubt that Pelini sticks around NU very long or that NU keeps Pelini very long. As mentioned before, they are 1 injury away from a 6-6 season.

Nebraska fans will not tolorate a 6-6 Season, but they will tolerate thugs and convicts on the team, they can live with those types of people as long as they win.

Most Nebraska fans I know tell me on a weekly basis, "We need to get the thugs back on the team, that's when we were good." And I know a lot of Nebraska fans. Thing is, NU gets a bad rap for this. I'm pretty sure most major programs are far from squeaky clean. I just think Nebraska wasn't as good at sweeping things away as other schools are.

You need to talk my sister who worked for a major Hospital in Omaha.

She has numerous stories from the "Glory Years" when one of the ex-Huskers would jump off the Deep End and Osborne would show up at 4 am to smooth things over. Osborne is a PRO at keeping things under the Rug.

Not really going to give Bo to much credit for kicking off a backup running back. When he kicks off a starter for doing the same thing than I will applaud him

I think you need a geography lesson Melvin. Kinda doubt that TO would show up in Omaha at 4:00 am. The University is in Lincoln, which is 50 miles from Omaha (Lincoln has plenty of its own large hospitals). Besides, if they were at the hospital that's a little different than being at the police station, isn't it?

The only incident that even fits that profile would be the Scott Baldwin shooting by Omaha police in 1992. That was an event that was hardly "swept under the rug".

This is just another example of an exaggeration by a fan of another school with a massive inferiority complex toward the Huskers. NU has it's troubled players like everyone else. Many schools have made the mistake of giving thugs a second chance (see: Jason Berryman). NU is not unique in this regard.

He already has. He kicked off starting LB Cody Glenn midseason last year for unspecified violation of team rules (no legal involvement). Glenn was an NFL talent who was drafted by the Redskins in the 5th round.

So feel free to go ahead and give credit.
