    Adventureland

Would it be safe to assume that tomorrow will be crazy busy? I'd like to take the kids but wouldn't this time of year be completely swamped? I've never gone this close to school starting. Any experiences?

I went Sunday and it was pretty tame. Good day to go would be my guess.

    Re: Adventureland

With school starting for most of the metro this past week and the state fair going on. I would assume that a ton of people will be at the state fair instead of Adventureland. I have been to Adventureland twice this year and it has not been busy at all either time.

God I hope it's not a zoo since I'm stuck going with the family.

I'm surprised advertureland is still open.

It's packed all summer and it costs around 100 bucks for a family of 4 to get in. Pluse the food you buy. I am not suprised at all.

They must keep it up pretty good. I haven't been in years and just assumed its run down.

    Re: Adventureland

Just make sure you don't stay at Adventureland Inn! We got hosed $149.00 for one night! Their website makes it look like an "indoor waterpark" but is nothing but two glorified swimming pools. I guess I should have known better but they could at least give you a cup of coffee and a few doughnut holes in the morning! I wrote a letter and the manager sent a nice long letter apologizing for our experience. I'm still shaking the envelope looking for a check!!!

I'm sure the weather tomorrow will have a say in attendance. If it's this cold tomorrow, I bet the place will be dead.

We're going to Sleepy Hollow on Sunday, and we're wondering the same thing, though at least Adventureland is not right next to the fair.

I went to Prairie Meadows last Saturday evening, and the Adventureland Parking lot was fuller than I'd ever seen. I assume those cars were there for adventureland, but I wondered to myself if anything else was going on.

    Re: Adventureland

I think you are safe with the fair and school for most districts starting. My daughter was there yesterday and it wasnt busy. Only had to wait in line for the Sawmill Splash. It was a weekday, so weekend will add so traffic.

I saw that too. I wondered what the hell was going on. Although a good guess would be that a ton of people went on Saturday since school started this week.

That is a curious conclusion to draw IMO.
