    Two Weeks Away

We have pretty much covered everything up to game time. What would you like to see as the 1st play of the game? I would love to see something taken to the house on the 1st play of the game. In all of our history do you recall this ever happening?

    Re: Two Weeks Away

It wasn't our first game of the season, but didn't J.J. Moses take an end-around for a 50+ yard TD on our first offensive play against Iowa in 2000?

I’d like to see something that shows we really do have a different approach.

"J.J. MOSES (CLAP, CLAP, CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!)"............+1 for mentioning one of my all-time favorite cyclones and yes, I think he took one to the house against Iowa in 2000, but I don't remember if it was the 1st play.

Just here to confirm it was the 1st offensive play for ISU...after forcing an Iowa punt. The funny part is that on the punt return by Moses he was absolutely lit up by the Iowa gunner. So the Kinnick crowd was off its rocker...that lasted for about 30 seconds.

    Re: Two Weeks Away

The first offensive play I'd like to see is a 5 wide set, really wide offensive line splits, hand off to Arob that goes for 17 yards.

Defensively, I'd like to see an all out blitz to see how the QB progresses in his reads before getting a facemask full of grass.

Anything but a QB keeper up the middle, seen enough of those the last 5 years.

5 wide with A-Rob in the backfield? Are you familiar with the rules for elligible receivers down field and the number of players allowed on the field?

Maybe he wanted to see ARob in the wildcat as QB.

    Re: Two Weeks Away

Offensively - I would like to see us line up 5 wide and throw a slant across the middle to Marquis (sp) that is taken to the house, but am willing to get a minimum of a 15 yard gain.

Defensively - I would like to us intercept it and return it, but am willing to take a sack or a huge hit by Leonard Johnson.

So the snap from center would be considered a hand off?

    Re: Two Weeks Away

i would like to see a darks drag route across the middle for at least a first down. and then i would like to see arob break one for a huge gain. then a fade route in the corner to sed johnson for a td.

It'll be a QB draw and the fans will collectively wonder if this is an indicator of things to come.

Actually, I was thinking Arob line up as a slot, motion into the backfield, handoff.
