Re: My unofficial predictions for the season

Dont disagree with too much but I like Philly or NYG to win the NFC East, I also think one of those teams will be in the superbowl. IMO the AFC is too close to call, NE, Pittsburgh or SD are all contenders. I do however think NE is going to be on a mission after not making the Playoffs last year.

I see NYG dropping down with no passing game and Philly has a lot of injuries.

Re: My unofficial predictions for the season

The only things I disagree with are the Chargers winning the Super Bowl because they always seem to find a way to come up short in the playoffs, the Broncos finishing below the Chiefs, and the Packers doing better than the Bears.

True. Just not as bad as the Chiefs IMO.

Yea you're probably going to see Sam Bradford or another rookie QB playing there next year.

There is a lot of hype for the Giants, but I can't pick them to do too well with no viable WR at this point.

Looking back at this with a couple games to go, pretty awful predictions but superbowl is somwhat possible still.

Actually, not too bad IMO...we are talking about the NFL here. There is no other league where there is such parity and where the teams are so evenly matched. Anyone that gambles on the NFL is a fool IMO.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

You got the Lions and the Browns just about pegged! So you got that going for you.

NHL has much more parity than NFL. You see some teams run away and some that are clear bottom-dwellers but any team can beat any other. Meanwhile Indianapolis could beat St. Louis ten times out of ten. With that said, an 82-game schedule is much different in terms of physical demand and preparation time than a 16-game format, so it is somewhat difficult to compare.

NFL is clearly more evenly matched than the NBA though, I'll give you that. NBA is awful (how can a team go 18 games into the season without a win? How can teams lose only 16 games in an entire season?
