Raiders coach fractures jaw of an assistant

According to the National Football Post, Raiders defensive assistant Randy Hanson was injured during a fight with another Raiders coach during training camp two weeks ago.

According to Nancy Gay of AOL NFL Fanhouse, Raiders head coach Tom Cable fractured the jaw of defensive assistant Randy Hanson during a fight early in training camp.

"It was Cable who hit him," a source said. "Hanson never saw it coming." Hanson's refusal to reveal his attacker's identity means Cable probably won't be charged with a crime. He could've been hit with felony charges. Napa police consider the case closed, "unless we are re-contacted by the victim, and the victim...want(s) us to follow through and pursue an investigation." Hanson also had problems with ex-Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin in 2008.

You have to wonder what happened and what is Hanson's problem that he can't seem to get along with the head coach

After all the moves the Broncos made this year and the suspensions its a good thing the Raiders are there. I wonder how long McDaniels has there

Re: Raiders coach fractures jaw of an assistant

Yet another stumbling block to keep us at the cellar of the NFL.... Our franchise is a mess thanks to stuff like this... Honestly I probably would blame this on Al Davis because he has tried to be in complete control too long. If this weren't the case we would have a coach who could control himself and he wouldn't be our 5th coach in 6 years or whatever it is....

That being said I don't think he is a terrible coach but I mean come on, can we get anything good to happen to the franchise for once?

The Raiders are the only team I can think of that may not have their top pick for the last 3 years not in the starting lineup come opening day. They might but with the Raiders who knows what's going on. Ah just think back to when Madden was the coach

We're pretty much a lock for 2nd. And McDaniels has a good chance of being gone after this year, or even earlier if we go on a long losing streak.

It keeps getting better for the Raiders. Should have been Al Davis.
