Re: Stallworth out for a year

So he could be back in 2010, even if he is on house arrest?

I take it as that. I would imagine for the next year he will be tied up with civil suits against him anyway.

I don't think that he will face a civil lawsuit. If I remeber correctly, he already gave a settlement to the family of the man who he hit.

I will give him credit though for standing up and taking the punishment. He never tried to get away from the situation. He even tried to help the man who he hit. Seems to me like he is a good guy who made a really bad decision to drive while drunk.

That is true. I forgot about that. The media has actually kept that more low key than I thought.

I would give him a lot more credit if he had actually slowed down or stopped instead of hitting the man. He saw him and flashed his lights and honked his horn to warn him and then proceeded to run him over. If he had the time to flash his lights and then honk, he had time to slow or stop. Instead he chose to place the onus on the pedestrian and continue along his merry way.

I'd hope he'd be suspended a year... fine by me. He made a bad choice and he's getting the consequences... it happens. For ever action, there is a reaction.
