I hate mediacom, especially their smartass comercials. Makes me want to punch them through the tv.

    Re: Mediacom Raising Rates Again

If this indeed does happen, it makes my thoughts of switching to Directv that much easier.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

    My thought exactly.

There is really only one valid reason to hate Michigan football, and that is the fact that we taught Notre Dame the game.

    Re: Mediacom Raising Rates Again

Very happy that I just left Mediacom for Dish last week. Still have their internet, as it is the best I have found.

    I removed it.

    Re: Mediacom Raising Rates Again

I guess I know who I'll be calling on Monday - Mediacom to cancel, and DISH to sign back up. I was planning on waiting until baseball season next year - to see if they finally got around to picking up CSN - but if they're going to raise rates along with not providing the service that I'm paying for, they don't deserve my money.

    Re: Mediacom Raising Rates Again

Too bad we do not have a line of sight for a satellite at our house.

We had DirecTV out a month ago, too many trees in our yard and in the neighbors yard. I am not a fan of the thieves at Mediacom with their monopoly in the cable market.

Not me, trust me I tried. I was very nice with them. They said if I was not going to take their phone service there was nothing they could help me with. We do not want phones, our cell phones are good enough.

    Re: Mediacom Raising Rates Again

With all these rising rates, I'm still waiting for them to pick up Comcast SportsNet. Several years ago, their excuse for not picking them up when the Cubs broadcasts switched to them from FSN was the cost and that they would have to raise rates. Well, that was when the base cable rate was about $15 lower than it is now.

So, I know you Mediacom people see this stuff. What the hell is the deal?

You would think with all the channels they waste, they could find a slot for CSN. In West Des Moines, 7 is the city's channel; they broadcast council meetings and **** like that on it; 15-20 are public access or C-SPAN, and nobody ever watches any of those, 22 is Connections, and if you have 832, that channel is a test pattern most of the time.

I hate Mediacom but to be honest both Directv and Dish have recently raised rates as well.
