    Donnie Jennert

    With all this talk about Money and the returning WRs, I completely forgot about the freshman wide receiver I am most interested in, Donnie Jennert. What has anybody heard about him?

    Would not be surprised to see him redshirt. Nothing to back that up other than last I knew he needed to add some size.

    Really? I'm I know that 6-6 is a big frame, but 194 isn't Wallace Franklin skinny. But, you never know how that weight is distributed.

    Guess it all depends on how he does in fall camp. If the rumors of us platooning 3 or 4 WRs on and off the field at a time we will certainly need him.

    Even Blythe redshirted, so we should keep everything in perspective.

    I predict right now that Jennert won't be redshirted and will see a lot of playing time this season. They recruited all these WRs, including two jucos, for a reason. Since one of the jucos is probably not coming, someone needs to step up to fill the void.

    Hopefully he can be a todd blythe type of player. sure has the same body type. for a guy with what seemed to be average speed he sure knew how to get behind a defense.

    I think he redshirts. We have big bodies in Hamilton and Johnson. I think he will step in for Hamilton next year.

    I agree, and I think Blythe would have been even more effective if he would have bulked up some.

    I also would like to see him bulk up a little bit.

    The speed of those tall guys is deceiving with their long stride. Guys that can cover a lot of ground per stride are heavily favored in the NFL (aka Jermey Maclin) and can get behind the shorter DB's on the long ball.

    I've seen him in person, and he is skinny. But how big do you have to be to run a fade in the corner of the endzone, because that's all I see him doing if he plays this year.

    Really? It is not that thin. He isn't lining up against 6'5'' 300lbs guys every down. I would expect he adds around 10 pounds through his entire career.

    I think he needs to add at least 10-15 lbs of muscle on. It'd be nice to have him playing at about 220lbs when he's a Jr.
