    Donnie Jennert

With all this talk about Money and the returning WRs, I completely forgot about the freshman wide receiver I am most interested in, Donnie Jennert. What has anybody heard about him?

Would not be surprised to see him redshirt. Nothing to back that up other than last I knew he needed to add some size.

Really? I'm I know that 6-6 is a big frame, but 194 isn't Wallace Franklin skinny. But, you never know how that weight is distributed.

    Re: Donnie Jennert

Guess it all depends on how he does in fall camp. If the rumors of us platooning 3 or 4 WRs on and off the field at a time we will certainly need him.

Even Blythe redshirted, so we should keep everything in perspective.

I as well would expect a redshirt, but one never knows.

I predict right now that Jennert won't be redshirted and will see a lot of playing time this season. They recruited all these WRs, including two jucos, for a reason. Since one of the jucos is probably not coming, someone needs to step up to fill the void.

Hopefully he can be a todd blythe type of player. sure has the same body type. for a guy with what seemed to be average speed he sure knew how to get behind a defense.

I think he redshirts. We have big bodies in Hamilton and Johnson. I think he will step in for Hamilton next year.

6-6 194 is pretty freakin thin.... he needs to redshirt to bulk him up.

I agree, and I think Blythe would have been even more effective if he would have bulked up some.

    Re: Donnie Jennert

I also would like to see him bulk up a little bit.

The speed of those tall guys is deceiving with their long stride. Guys that can cover a lot of ground per stride are heavily favored in the NFL (aka Jermey Maclin) and can get behind the shorter DB's on the long ball.

    Re: Donnie Jennert

I've seen him in person, and he is skinny. But how big do you have to be to run a fade in the corner of the endzone, because that's all I see him doing if he plays this year.

Really? It is not that thin. He isn't lining up against 6'5'' 300lbs guys every down. I would expect he adds around 10 pounds through his entire career.

I think he needs to add at least 10-15 lbs of muscle on. It'd be nice to have him playing at about 220lbs when he's a Jr.
