I think he was a pretty phenomenal QB, but I think he got hurt and didn't play his 2nd year.

    Who is Darius Reynolds......

I sure hope that will all the hype on this board, we all give him some to adjust to D 1 football and not expect him to be the second coming of Jerry Rice.

No, but I'd be happy if he were the second coming of Dez Bryant.

Seriously, I expect him to help out with returns, and the occasional big play--not catch a bajillion balls.

    Re: darius reynolds

He seems to have the speed and athleticism to be a "big play" guy, returning kicks, catching bombs, a big YAC guy, etc. But, very few of us have seen him play personally so who knows. We do need athletes though and Money seems to fit the bill.

    Apparently, more than you have.

Did you miss the "seems" part of the statement? In standard English, that is a qualifier which would allow for revision when seen in a different setting--in Money's case, against Big XII level competition.

    Re: darius reynolds

I think he could be a good 4th receiver for us. He certainly sounds athletic, but how well does he run routes? He played QB, so I'm guessing he has some ground to make up there.

We've had a ton of guys who aren't burners, but run good routes and have been quite effective.

You are mistaken. He played some wide receiver as a juco frosh, but split time there as a soph. And if you are talking about what he "could" be, his raw talent is easily among the top three, if not top two at the position.

IMHO, it's more a question of adaptation to a new offense and level of competition, and whether at some point the coaching staff decides that he has too many roles to fill.

Generally former quarterbacks run the best routes, especially when they get the same read as the guy under center (see: Kerry Meier, Austin Flynn, etc.).

Holy **** did I strike a nerve? I was asking a legitimate question. By what you posted I had assumed that you had seen him play.

    Chill
