Red Sox fans wouldn't trade that '04 title for the world. Guarantee they don't care.

No steriods have nothing to do with Papi's struggles this season. Nothing!

I wouldn't care either. Everyone else was using anyway.

It was a bunch of cheaters beating up on a bunch of cheaters. If Pujols has been clean through all of this, it just magnifies how phenominal he truly is.

Re: Manny and Papi tested positive in 2003

Not shocked at all, although I would've been a little surprised about Manny had he not tested positive again earlier this year.

The real issue is that this is getting pretty &^%*&^ ridiculous that they continue to name one player at a time (maybe during slow news cycles?). Get it over with and release the whole list. This is irresponsible of the lawyers and the NY times.

It's going to be interesting to see how Red Sox come up on that list that weren't in the Mitchell Report.

Re: Manny and Papi tested positive in 2003

The really sad part of all of this is that there was no penalty for taking performance enhancers at this time. If something isn't against the rules is it really cheating or "staining" the game? Anyone who has tested positive since the rules finally went in to place should be thrown out of the game forever. Anybody who tested positive prior to that.....that is baseballs fault!

I think the penalties in place now are pretty fair. Especially when you look at freak accidents like the JC Romero incident; no way he should be banned for life for taking something that he recieved from his MLB trainer and which did not even have the banned substance listed on the ingrediants. I don't think that the players on that list should be punished, but I think it is unfair to keep picking and choosing who to "out". It is obvious that enough people have seen this list that there is no way to keep it under wraps, so lets just get it all over with. Maybe they are waiting till after the MLB season is over to minimize the distractions? I really don't understand.
