    Udeze Retires

    I was really hoping to see him take the field this season. He was a great pick-up and I was actually proud of the Vikings for supporting him over the past couple years.

    Met him at the Mall of America my senior year of high school. He has a FIRM handshake, and he made me feel pint sized (I go about 6'1" 195). Best of luck to him in the future.

    I have alwayed like the guy since I watched him play at USC. I don't think he got the credit for the kind of player he was due to his low sack numbers. He was a great run defender who never had a guy opposite (i.e. Jared Allen)to take some heat off. If he played last year I feel he would have more then the 5 sacks Ray Edwards had.

    No, he wouldn't have started in that d-line. But there was a chance he could have seen the field at least a couple of times. He lost a lot of weight after his treatment and frankly I would rather see him healthy than see him force his body to compete at that level.
