I hope this kid wasn't overused when young and ends up like K. Wood.

Well he can't be much worse then when he's pitched without a swollen arm this year.

Meh, if this was 2006 Liriano I'd be freaking out as it is, he's been thoroughly mediocre and I don't see a RA Dickey/Brian Duensing spot start as that much of a downgrade, if its a long term deal with him and Perkins, bring Mulvey back up as well. Thats one area I'm not concerned with, 4-5 starting pitchers coming from the Twins minors.

Man hopefully he doesn't need Tommy John, that would be a hiccup in his career... O wait..

I agree, at this point I have no problem with Dickey taking his spot in the rotation, but the teams needs Dickey/Keppel/Duensing in the pen for when the other guys go 2 innings. I don't think Mulvey got a fair chance, and will probably come back up at some point

You have no idea how thrilled I'd be if that were actually an option...

Looks like Duensing is getting the call, I feel its the right choice(especially if Liriano will be out awhile), give him or Mulvey a chance to prove they can be successful MLB starting pitchers.
